History Timeline
- 2009 - PPT initiates trials with its first manufacturer of materials for Solar Cell applications, therefore providing another opportunity into the Alternative Energy Market.
- 2006 - A major manufacturer of fuel cells enlists PPT's support in engineering development of critical materials. Fuel cell materials process development has since become a key part of PPT's future.
- 2004 - An advanced technology manufacturer of Lithium-ion batteries signs engineering contract with PPT to assist in process development of critical materials. This is PPT's first of many customer relationships in Alternative Energy Technology.
- 2002 - Powder Processing and Technology, LLC is established: E. J. Vestco Industries, LLC purchases all production lines of Powdertech Corp. except reprographic, focusing on soft ferrite powder manufacturing and ceramic powder processing tolling services.
- 1994 - Powdertech Corp. expands production, adding a line of Low Sintering Temperature Ferrite Powders for multi-layer chip components.
- 1990 Powdertech Corp. creates soft ferrite Electronic Powders business for power conversion and noise suppression applications.
- 1988 - Nippon Iron Powder (NTK) Japan purchases the Advanced Materials Division of Titan Corporation and renames the Valparaiso facility "Powdertech Corporation", focusing on fired ferrite powders manufacturing for reprographic applications.
- 1973 - Indiana General, Ferrite Products Division, based on technology developed over years of manufacture of soft ferrite electronic components, begins joint development program with Xerox Corporation. This effort results in the opening of a new plant in Valparaiso for the purpose of producing ferrite carrier core for Xerox in 1975. This became the basis for our ferrite powder business.
